Ownership of footage and materials produced under an engaged Services contract is governed by the individual service agreement; unless otherwise agreed in writing, all footage and final materials are created on a work-for-hire basis and full ownership transfers to the client upon receipt of final payment.

5. Services and Quotations

Descriptions of our Services on the Website are provided for general information only and do not form part of a binding offer. A contract for Services is formed only when we issue a written quotation or proposal that you accept, or when we confirm your booking in writing. Each contract will be governed by these Terms as supplemented by the specific terms of the service agreement, which shall prevail in the event of any conflict.

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the applicable rate. Additional costs arising from changes to the scope of work, extended shoot days, or client-requested revisions may be charged separately with your prior approval.

6. Client Obligations

Where we provide on-set or on-location Services, you agree to:

provide safe and lawful access to filming locations and comply with all applicable health and safety regulations;
ensure that all necessary filming permissions, location consents, and releases from cast, crew, and rights holders have been obtained;
inform us of any on-set protocols, confidentiality requirements, or restricted areas in advance;
provide timely feedback and approvals to enable us to meet agreed delivery deadlines.

7. Confidentiality and Spoiler Protection

We recognise the sensitive nature of pre-release production content. All Silver Reel Productions crew members are required to sign non-disclosure agreements before commencing work on any production. All footage is stored on encrypted drives with access limited to approved personnel only. No footage, stills, or information relating to your production will be published, shared, or released without your prior written approval. This confidentiality obligation survives the completion or termination of any service agreement.

8. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment terms are as stated on your invoice. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date. We reserve the right to require a deposit (typically 30% of the quoted fee) before commencing work. Late payments may incur interest and statutory compensation in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Ownership of deliverables transfers to you only upon receipt of payment in full.

9. Cancellation and Postponement

If you cancel or postpone an agreed shoot or engagement, the following charges may apply:

more than 14 days before the scheduled date: no charge, or refund of any deposit less reasonable incurred costs;
7 to 14 days before the scheduled date: 50% of the agreed fee;
fewer than 7 days before the scheduled date: 100% of the agreed fee.

Where cancellation or postponement results from circumstances beyond your reasonable control, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule at no additional cost where practicable.

10. Liability

We maintain appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to the foregoing, we shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Website or our Services. Our total aggregate liability in connection with any contract for Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you under that contract. The Website is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, and we exclude all implied conditions, warranties, and terms to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather, industrial action, equipment failure, pandemic, government restrictions, or other acts of events beyond our control. In such circumstances, we will notify you promptly and agree revised arrangements in good faith.
